It can be such a mind field when it comes to training for your hound. With an endless supply of advice from everywhere it can quickly become stressful and completely confusing to pick the right training method for you and your hound!!
Here at Hounds we can point you in the direction of canine trainers and behaviourists.
What Hounds recommends is picking something that fits with you and what you feel you can work with to help your hound. Most training methods do work as long as it suits you and your hound.
We have seen great improvements made though group training classes, on-on-one visits to online training programs. So trust us when we say they all work, you just need to pick the one that suits you best.
Here are some links to local trainers and an online trainer that a few of our clients have had success with:
Sue Rapp- Doggie Speak.
Sue runs puppy classes locally at Meon Vale and Mickleton. Sue also provides one-on-one training. Using positive reinforcement. Perfect for learning the basic commands to any behaviour issues your hound might be struggling with.

Doggy Dan-online trainer
Hounds has seen some great progress made with clients who have used this online method. There are procedures to be put in place from a set of rules off the training plan from Doggy Dan, this might not be for everyone, but for extreme cases with dog aggression to other dogs in the household Hounds has seen huge improvements.
